These are two of the desert cities in the Coachella valley, east of Los Angeles. We were actually on El Paseo street in Rancho Mirage. This street is an upscale street of shops. There are a variety of stores that offer very expensive clothing and a variety of accessories that many stars will shop for. if you want to see\u00a0 fancy cars, this is the place to go.<\/p>\n<h2>Rancho Mirage &#8211; El Paseo<\/h2>\n<p>The scenery is fantastic, with the palm trees in the foreground and the mountains covered in snow in the background.\u00a0 The highest ones are over 12,000 feet in elevation. Palm Springs has an elevation of 485 feet. Less than 40 miles away there is the Salton sea which is below seal level.<\/p>\n<p>This area is a great area for snow birds and weekend vacationers from LA to spend their time. There are warm temperatures, golf, hiking, biking and swimming activities for all.<\/p>\n<p>One of the big attractions for the writer in Rancho Mirage &#8211; El Paseo is the Apple store. This is a great place to spend some time while your spouse shops.
