Ottawa Ontario winter wonderland<\/p><\/div>\n

We saw this particular poem in an email that someone sent to us, and we thought that our readers might enjoy it. It is about Canada – our winters! Ottawa, Ontario, winter wonderland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ottawa Ontario Winter Wonderland<\/span><\/h2>\n

On the sixth day, God turned to the Archangel Gabriel and said, “Today<\/span> I <\/span>am going to create a land called Canada. It will be a land of outstanding natural beauty.<\/span><\/p>\n

It shall have tall, majestic mountains full of mountain goats and eagles,<\/span><\/p>\n

beautiful sparkling lakes bountiful with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, high cliffs over-looking sandy<\/span><\/p>\n

beaches with an abundance of sea life and rivers stocked with<\/span><\/p>\n

salmon.”<\/span><\/p>\n

God continued, “I shall make the land rich in resources <\/span>so as to<\/span> make the inhabitants prosper. I shall call these inhabitants Canadians, and they shall be known as the most friendly people on the earth.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “don’t you think you are being too generous to > these Canadians??”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Not really,” replied God<\/span>..<\/span> “Just wait and see the winters I <\/span>am going to<\/span> give them!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Canada – our winters<\/span><\/h2>\n

Although this is just a poem, sometimes our winters make us feel as if they were true regarding the winter that God gave us. The last one was particularly brutal and long. It seemed to go on forever, and it seemed that we got more snow than we ever did.<\/span><\/p>\n

This<\/span> is one of the reasons that many Canadians go south for the winter and <\/span>come back<\/span> when the snow is gone, and the flowers have begun to grow. They do not want to deal with the cold weather, the ice, and the snow. <\/span>We are among the Canadian snowbirds that head south every year<\/span>, <\/span>and <\/span>we<\/span> will continue doing so for as long as we can.<\/span><\/p>\n
